Types of Business Organizations

Private limited company: Warburtons is British Baking Firm and owned by a family. The company has a 24% share of the UK bread market compared with 2% when it was based in Bolton.Warburtons is the most popular bread in Lancashire with a 45% market share compared with a 15% share in London.
Public limited company: Warner Chilcott is a leading specialty pharmaceutical company in the North American and Western European pharmaceuticals markets. It is listed on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange and trades under the symbol WCRX.


Public corporation: Amtrak is the National  Railraod Passenger Corporatio. It’s preferred stock is owned by the U.S. federal government, it’s Common stock was issued in 1971 to railroads that contributed capital and equipment; these shares convey almost no benefits but their current holders declined a 2002 buy-out offer by Amtrak.


Non-profit organization: The National Rifle Association of America (NRA) is an American non-profit organization which advocates for the protection of the Second Amendment of the United States Bill of Rights and the promotion of firearm ownership rights as well as marksmanship, firearm safety, and the protection of hunting and self-defense in the United States.


Non-governmental organization: Doctors Without Borders is an international organization that provides emergency medical assistance to people suffering from a natural or societal disaster, such as an earthquake or war.Operating independently of governments, the organization depends on volunteer health professionals (more than 2,000 annually) and private donations. It received the 1999 Nobel Peace Prize.


Pressure group:The CBI (Confederation of British Industry) is the UK's top business lobbying organisation. Its unmatched influence with government, policymakers and legislators means they can get the best deal for business – at home and abroad.
